My final project for my Game Engine Scripting course at Columbia College Chicago. A 3D first person game where the player must solve a variety of puzzles to get from room to room by picking up and using the objects given to them in each room.
This was a solo project where I had to design each room, program the mechanics, gather and implement the sounds, and import and use the art assets I had gathered.

This was the first 3D game I had ever worked on. For this project we had to follow certain guidelines. We needed to have one mechanic to design the game around, design at least 5 or 6 rooms, and have some sort of narrative. Unfortunately for me I had hit a snag in programming my main mechanic, which was picking up objects in a similar way to Amnesia, Half-Life 2, etc. very early and it delayed me by a few weeks. By the time I had got it working the way I wanted I had little time to complete the rest, and while I had each room designed and planned in my head, some turned out harder than I thought like the first room is way too hard, while the second room can be too easy. The art also suffered as I didn't have time to make it look the way I would've liked, so it has this very bright look to it since all the textures are unlit. But, I kind of like it reminds me of classic Doom.
